MEET THE Candidates
ERIC currently serves as the Speaker of the 14th Assembly and the Founder & Chair of the CSG Black Caucus. He also has held a plethora of leadership positions and has been an active member of CSG since his freshman year.
He joined EMPOWER because he believes that all students on our campus deserve to have a voice in student government, and he knows EMPOWER is a way to reimagine a CSG dedicated to change for students. Since joining, Eric has advocated for the creation of a campus-wide bereavement policy, increased scholarships for students with disabilities, and improving student safety.

LUCAS currently serves as the Vice Speaker, Executive Nominations Chair, and Ethics Chair of the 14th Assembly and has been an active member of CSG since his sophomore year.
He founded the EMPOWER MICHIGAN party in the fall of 2024 because he wanted to bridge the divide between the administration and the student body, and believed that CSG needed a culture change. Since then, he has helped ensure the passage of a $1 million budget, provided free or subsidized professional resources for students, and advocated for increased international student scholarships.
